About Us
We are a group of 3 young men from different parts of Buenos Aires who once had an idea of having their own hotel.
Our names are Santiago, German and Alex. We started in November 2009 and we plan to continue here for a long time. Some of us had previous experience in hotels, some had not... but we give our best everyday so you can really feel like you are at home.
We like having dinner or lunch together, having BBQs in SOCO's terrace, laughing and having some drinks, even going out to a pub... so if you feel like hanging out with us, we will be more than happy to welcome you!
We feel passion for what we do and we have the will to do it. Each guest that chooses to stay in SOCO Buenos Aires is, for us, someone we receive in our home. We hope that we can help you discover the real Buenos Aires during your stay, and while you do that, we would like to get to know you, and at the same time, you get to know us.
Apart from us, you will probably see other people working in SOCO Buenos Aires, so let’s introduce ourselves:
Germán:
Raised in Mar del Plata, the main beach city in Argentina. At the age of 17, he came to Buenos Aires to study and work. He studied here for more than 4 years and he has a degree in Tourism now. He always loved working in hotels, where most of his work experience comes from. He enjoys travelling and surfing as a hobby, as well as practicing football and golf in his free time.
Favorite Destination: Dominical, Costa Rica.
Favorite Music: International Rock.
Alex:
Born outside the City of Buenos Aires, he always spent most of his time in the city, either to work or study. He studied tourism in the University of Morón and he always loved to learn new languages (though he hardly finds time to do it…). He likes watching and playing all kinds of sports but he prefers tennis and football. He worked in travel agencies since he was 17 and this is his first “hotel experience”.
Favorite Destination: New York, U.S.A.
Favorite Music: Reggae & Hip-Hop.
Santiago:
He born and grew up in Buenos Aires. He got a degree as a Public Accountant in the University of Buenos Aires. Never close to hotels’ work, this is a great challenge to him. He loves music, studied guitar since he was 10 and nowadays he performs regularly with his rock band. He is not very fond of sports, but he used to play rugby and football. The thing he enjoys the most it travelling and meeting new people and cultures.
Favorite Destination: Argentine Patagonia.
Favorite Music: Rock.
